FIXED LENS – Swept Out To Sea 7″ EP

Design and layout for my post-punk project FIXED LENSSwept Out To Sea 7″ vinyl EP. Photography was sourced from stills from the accompanying music video, shot on location in Berlin over the fall and winter of 2022. I went for a cinematic approach, and attempted to tell the story of the video with the layout. The use of red permeates the video and the design of the record, down to the red transparent vinyl of the limited edition. I love it when a concept can traverse multiple media, and at times it felt like I was designing the soundtrack to the video. Released in conjunction with Unterschall Records in Leipzig, DE.

Faith and the Muse live at the Catwalk 04.11.2010

I had the fortune of capturing Faith and the Muse on their Ankoku Butoh tour in April of 2010 at the Catwalk, a now-defunct club in Seattle. It was easily one of the more remarkable live shows I’ve ever seen, and that album still remains on constant rotation in my playlist. They combined Butoh performance, tribal belly dance, Taiko drums, post-punk, and gothic rock in such a unique and impressively tasteful way and nothing I’ve seen has come close to this time since.
